While watching a hybrid Mallard and Black Duck pair, I caught their remaining two ducklings taking a nap by the water's edge. While laying on my belly of one of Huntley's boardwalks to get a low angle, I was able to capture the pair taking a mid-afternoon nap. Unfortunately, when I returned the next day, one of the ducklings was gone. Nature can be hard.
