Cedar Waxwing in Tree

My Own Backyard - Mechanicsville, Maryland
May 16th, 2020
Every year, around May, a flock of Cedar Waxwings make their way north and pass our home in Southern Maryland. They hang around long enough to pick our trees clean of berries before moving on. This guy posed nicely for a great framed shot. I love the fore and background branches in this shot as they give the capture such depth.

I am in my 50's and happily married with 5 daughters from our blended family. I became interested in photography just a few short years ago, much later in life than many but my passion is strong. I started out experimenting with scenic mountain shots, landscapes, flowers and anything nature as being outside is where I am happiest.
