I absolutely love the Springtime at the Hook. The weather, the bird activity, flowers blooming and all around beauty is everywhere to see. I highly recommend a visit this time of year if you can. For this shot, I was following this Great Egret as it approached the shore line to come in for a landing with intentions to look for an early morning meal. As with photography, timing can be everything and I was able to capture the egrets approach right as it was passing a Great Blue Heron forcing down a large fish. I used the foreground grass as a way to frame the shot and give the composition more interest.
