With this capture, I was looking to create a dramatic feel of the fog lit sunrise as the sun rose above the Patuxent at Magruder's Ferry. The water was so still and lit up in beautiful warm colors by the rising sun. I set up a composition that created some nice negative space that drew attention to the subject and allowed the scene to speak for itself.
