Off one of the points at Lake Mattamuskeet, this solitary tree grows in the shallow waters of the lake. On this day, the morning air was heavy and the clouds heavily diffused the light of the rising sun. This added to the feel of solitude and loneliness of this tree as it seemed to float in the water.
