Roseate Spoonbill Chick with Mom
Alligator Farm - St. Augustine, Florida

After photographing other birds at Alligator Farm this particular morning, I headed over to the Roseate Spoonbills area to see if I could get some captures. This Spoonbill mom and her nest were quite high and when I stretched as high as I could reach, I could just make out the nest. After waiting a bit, the young chick, a few days old, reached up above the nest line and reached for its mom. I was very happy to get this capture.
