Red-winged Blackbird on Reeds

Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge - Lipsec, Delaware
October 13th, 2019
I love this capture of a female Red Winged Blackbird, sitting so pretty on a reed in this beautiful scene. Red Wings are very common at Bombay and you could spend all day getting captures of them, one after the other. On this day, this female Redwing decided to pose so nicely, displaying her beautiful feathers in contrast in front of nice bokeh background of amber grass fields.

I am in my 50's and happily married with 5 daughters from our blended family. I became interested in photography just a few short years ago, much later in life than many but my passion is strong. I started out experimenting with scenic mountain shots, landscapes, flowers and anything nature as being outside is where I am happiest.
