In low light situations, a Glossy Ibis looks like a dark brown, nearly black bird void of color, But in full sunlight, their iridescent feathers absolutely pop with color and shimmer in the light. I grabbed this capture of a Glossy Ibis as I watch him fly from its nest to the pond bank, back and forth collecting nesting material. They truly are a beautiful bird.
