Snowy Egret in Flight 1

Alligator Farm is a great place to capture bird portraits as the birds are so close. Getting birds in flight, on the other hand is more difficult for the same reason. Most birds are quick and hard to track at these distances. I watched this small Snowy Egret carry twigs and grass back to its nest, one trip after the other. I positioned myself in a place that gave me the best chance of catching one of these trips in flight and I was able to get this shot. The confined area was just big enough for me to get this shot, but even this small bird completely filled up my frame.
