Rhododendron Blue Ridge Mountains

This was one of the very first images I took as I started my nature photography journey. While on a photo excursion with a group of fellow photographers on the Blue Ridge Parkway in western North Carolina, we stopped by the road side to try and grab some captures. In the late Spring and early Summer months, Rhododendron are in bloom all up and down the parkway. I setup my tripod and was able to grab this capture of beautiful pink Rhododendron in bloom with the Blue Ridge mountains as a back drop. The clouds helped out by showering the mountain side with rays of sunshine.
